Founded by Darrell Moncrease, Jams Kitchen holds a special place in the hearts of Cleveland locals. The restaurant's name is in honor of their beloved mother Joyce Annette Moncrease, embodying the warmth and love that defines the establishment. Over the past year, Jams Kitchen has become a culinary cornerstone in the Westpark community, offering classic Cleveland Barbeque, friendly service, and a commitment to giving back.

Darrell, who has become known as “Mr. BARBECUE” since the opening of the restaurant, has been committed to the family's mission statement, "Let everything you do, be done in love" and the restaurant's mantra "MADE WITH LOVE." What's important to us and our family, is that we all come together and do it with love. Our Love Language is FOOD and we give back to the community! Especially to those that are less fortunate. It is so humbling and dear to our hearts to know that Darrell has accomplished so much with little, due to his passion and sacrifices, within this past year and yet still finds a way to share and spread the love knowing it can be a domino effect for others to see that community matters. So, as we celebrate our 1st anniversary of many sweet blessings and for what is yet to come, again we would like to kindly thank everyone! It has been very well appreciated and we are absolutely grateful!  

Jams Kitchen held a "Giving Thanks" event that exemplified their dedication to serving both delicious food and the local community. Jams Kitchen provided over 100 free dinners throughout the city to those in need on 11/19/2023, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and joy.
